Processing:

Preparation of Surfaces
Joint edges and Surfaces must be clean, dry, grease-free and sustainable. To clean, OTTO T. Cleaner recommended to pre-treatment with primers, please note the information in the primer table. The primer is to be made on marble, stone and other sensitive surfaces very carefully, as the smearing or spraying the risk of staining is given. When grouting
in the underwater area on absorbent mineral substrates, pretreatment with OTTO Primer 1218 is required.

Special Notes
OTTO Fungitect silver technology in OTTOSEAL S140 longer protects the sealant against mold growth. In contrast to conventional fungicides Fungitect from the sealant is also under heavy water stress is not washed out and can develop over time its effect. To minimize the risk of mold growth on the swimming pool and natural stone silicone silicone OTTOSEAL S140, the following guidelines be followed by the swimming pool operation: The disinfection of swimming pool water with chlorine is essential. It can also alternative methods are used. An adequate chlorine disinfection must however be compulsory in place to effectively prevent a mold infestation. The alternative methods, such as for example, have UVBestrahlung ozonation or no disinfecting depot effect. This is essential to prevent mold growth. We recommend that the cured sealant before filling the pool with clean water to
, Cleanse Glättmittelrückstände to remove from the surface. Glättmittelrückstände may encourage the dispersal of microorganisms and cause a mold infestation.
Water, with the following characteristics:
Pool 0,3 - 0,6 mg / l free chlorine
Warmsprudelbecken 0.7 to 1.0 mg / L free chlorine
Currently, there is prior art that a concentration of free chlorine is allowed to 1.2 mg / liter.
The pH of the bath water is optimal at a value of 7.0 set.
Deviations above and below 6.5 to 7.6 are allowed for freshwater it. should be noted however that: power is too strong a lovely smell of chlorine apparent, the cause may possibly lie in an incorrect pH of pool water. This check and adjust to the optimum value. Indispensable is a regular circulation of water. These must always be in operation
and may not be temporarily interrupted. Interruptions may occur partially through very different levels of chlorine, the minimum concentration of 0.3 mg / liter may be some places below. Such underspends lead to the buds of the ubiquitous spores and mold growth. When properly
Water circulation is to run the pool water constantly over the overflow edge of the pool. In the case of the use of cleaning agents, you must ensure that not only acidic cleaning agents are used, but is neutralized by a subsequent cleaning with alkaline detergents. The risk of mold infestation is increased by the use of such funds. In the rehabilitation of affected joints, the silicone sealant removed and
the surface with anti-mildew spray to be disinfected. Otherwise, the sealant had penetrated into the spores grow quite rapidly by the renewed sealant to the surface. The curing time is extended with increasing thickness of the silicone.

For sealing in combination with PVC swimming pool slides, such as DLW delifol, Trocal WBV etc., is a necessary pre-treatment with OTTO Primer 1217: OTTO Primer 1217 thinly and evenly on the slide, about 15 min. allow it to aerate. Joints with closed cell PE cords backfilled. During application and curing of OTTOSEAL S140 is a well ventilated. OTTOSEAL S140 should ever harden after Dichtstoffstärke, ambient temperature and humidity at least 4 days, preferably 2 weeks before the pool is filled with water. Before the use of the adhesive / sealant, the user must ensure that the materials in the contact area (solid, liquid and gas) with the adhesive / sealant are compatible and that do not damage or change (eg color). For building materials that are processed in the sequence in the area of the adhesive / sealant, has
clarify the user in advance that their ingredients or fumes did not affect or change (for example, can cause discoloration) of the adhesive / sealant. If necessary, the user has to take consultation with the respective manufacturer of building materials. Because of the large number of possible influences during processing and the application is the user always make a sample processing and application. The concrete Aufbrauchsdatum is printed on the packaging printing and observed. Opened container consume immediately.
When grouting Silicone direct physical contact with bituminous and
weichmacherabgebenden materials such as butyl, EPDM, neoprene, insulated, and black paints to avoid etc.. For smoothing marble silicone leveling agents (undiluted). The use
otherwise conventional leveling agents (such as dishwashing detergent, etc.) is not recommended especially for marble and natural stone because of the great spot sensitivity. In particular, unpolished natural stone surfaces distribute the sealant does not have the joints, as all smears are difficult to remove. Application of the adhesive / sealant
Prevent air inclusions: For best adhesion and good mechanical properties, must be avoided inclusion of air.

Silikonfuge ziehen rest silikon abziehen
