Special instructions:

Before using the adhesive/sealant, the user must ensure that the materials/materials in the contact area (solid, liquid and gaseous) are compatible with the adhesive/sealant and do not damage or change it (e.g. discolor). For materials that are subsequently processed in the area of the adhesive/sealant, the user must clarify in advance that their ingredients or vapors cannot lead to any impairment or change (e.g. discoloration) of the adhesive/sealant. If necessary, the user must consult the respective manufacturer of the materials/materials. Avoid contact with bituminous and plasticizer-releasing materials such as butyl, EPDM, neoprene, insulating and black paints. Paints, varnishes, plastics and other coating materials must be compatible with the adhesive/sealant. Due to the large number of paint systems for wooden windows, it is not possible to make a general statement regarding adhesion and compatibility. Individual preliminary tests are therefore necessary. Windows and doors may only be put together or packed after 24 hours at the earliest. Otherwise there is a risk of discoloration of the paint. During curing, small amounts of an oxime compound are gradually released. Ensure good ventilation during processing and curing. After curing, the product is completely odorless, physiologically harmless and indifferent. The vulcanization time increases as the silicone layer thickness increases. One-component silicones are not suitable for surface bonding unless the special structural requirements are met. When using smoothing agents, any water streaks that form must be removed immediately after sealing. If cleaning is carried out at a later date, permanent streaks may remain. Heavy exposure to tobacco smoke and similar environmental influences can cause the sealant to discolor. For sealing butt joints between insulating glass with a UV-resistant edge seal made of silicone rubber (e.g. slanted glazing, all-glass facades, etc.), we recommend OTTOSEAL S 7. When renovating joints contaminated with mold, the existing elastic sealant must be completely removed. Before re-pointing, the affected joint areas must be treated with OTTO anti-mold spray to remove any fungal spores that may be present. Otherwise, mold infestation of the joint can very quickly occur again, despite the sealant having a fungicidal treatment.

Pre-treatment:

The adhesive surfaces must be cleaned and any contamination such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives/sealants and other substances that impair adhesion must be removed. Cleaning non-porous surfaces: Clean with OTTO Cleaner T (airing time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning porous surfaces: Clean surfaces mechanically, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding wheel, to remove loose particles. The adhesive surfaces must be clean, grease-free, dry and stable.

Processing:

Processing temperature: +5ºC to +35ºC.
Application method: Spray with a hand gun, compressed air gun or cordless gun.
Cleaning: With white spirit before curing, then with silicone remover or can be removed mechanically.
Smoothing: Use smoothing agent and scraper to prevent skin formation.
