Special instructions:

Before using the adhesive / sealant, the user must ensure that the building materials in the contact area (solid, liquid and gaseous) are compatible with the adhesive / sealant and do not damage or change it (e.g. discolour). In the case of building materials that are subsequently processed in the area of the adhesive / sealant, the user must clarify in advance that their ingredients or vapors cannot impair or change (e.g. discoloration) the adhesive / sealant. If necessary, the user has to consult with the respective manufacturer of the building materials. At normal temperature (23 ° C / 50% RH) the sealant forms a firm surface skin after approx. 2 hours. Until then, rain or any other effect of water on the fresh sealant must be avoided at all costs. Lower temperatures and / or high humidity can significantly reduce the drying speed of the sealant. Do not use at temperatures below +5 ° C. The color of the sealant changes during the curing / drying process. The final color is achieved after complete curing. In most cases it is compatible with water-based paints. However, due to the large number of coating systems available on the market, we recommend checking the compatibility of sealant and coating or consulting our application engineering department. According to the relevant standards, elastic joint sealants should not be completely coated over the entire surface, as tensions and movements can result in the formation of cracks in the paint coatings which, in contrast to the sealant, are non-elastic. In cases where the sealant is painted over in joints with little movement, a drying time of at least 1 week must be observed. Avoid contact with bituminous and plasticizer-releasing materials such as butyl, EPDM, neoprene, insulating and black coatings. After curing, the product is completely odorless, physiologically harmless and indifferent.

Pretreatment:

The adhesive surfaces must be clean, dust-free and grease-free and stable. The adhesive surfaces must be cleaned and any contaminants such as release agents, preservatives, grease, oil, dust, water, old adhesives / sealants and other substances that impair adhesion must be removed. Cleaning of non-porous surfaces: cleaning with OTTO Cleaner T (airing time approx. 1 minute) and a clean, lint-free cloth. Cleaning of porous surfaces: Mechanically clean the surfaces of loose particles, e.g. with a steel brush or a grinding wheel. Absorbent mineral adhesive surfaces should be moistened with water to improve adhesion. The following are also available to improve adhesion: on absorbent surfaces - mixture of acrylic sealant / water 1: 2 - on absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces: primer

Application advice:

Spray the sealant evenly with a hand gun, compressed air gun or battery gun, press the surface with a moistened tool before skin begins to form. Remove fresh contaminants with water. Because of the large number of possible influences during processing and use, the processor must always carry out a test processing and application. The specific use-by date can be found on the label on the container and must be observed. We recommend storing the adhesives / sealants in the unopened original containers in a dry place (<60% RH) in a temperature range of + 15 ° C to + 25 ° C. If the products are stored and / or transported for longer periods of time (several weeks) at higher temperatures / humidity, a reduction in the shelf life or a change in the material properties cannot be ruled out.
