Compriband is used when different materials meet and need to be tightly sealed. It is also referred to as a joint tape, sealing tape, joint sealing tape or stop tape and the most common application is the sealing of joints between masonry and window frames. In this context, a distinction is made in three sealing areas:

  • External joint sealing: driving rainproof, permeable to diffusion, weatherproof and windproof.
  • Medium sealing level: heat and sound insulated.
  • Inner sealing levels: Airtight and diffusion-proof than the outer seal.

Kompriband can cover the different requirements with the help of various material combinations. It is predominantly an open-cell flexible polyurethane foam which is already impregnated ex works with a flame-retardant synthetic resin polymer. For ease of use Kompriband is also compressed, hence the name. Only after application to a material or component or after insertion into a joint, the Kompriband takes its original, uncompressed form. Thus, the joint is fully fed.
