Heat resistant silicone

If you are looking for heat-resistant silicone, you should know that silicone is inherently very heat-resistant because of its product properties. The material is mostly known as a joint sealant, but hidden behind silicones an artificially produced material of silicon and oxygen, which makes the material very elastic, insensitive to cold and, above all, resistant to heat.

Good to know: Silicones combine organic and inorganic substances and are therefore also called "intermediate" or "hybrid". Two types of silicones are generally distinguished: vinegar, acid or acetate-curing silicones and neutral-crosslinking silicones. The latter are made on a water basis and when dried creates an evaporation. Vinegar, acidic or acetate-curing silicones, on the other hand, react with atmospheric moisture and acetate is split off.
